Love (Part 2)

Whether sitting on the shores of a lake which is surrounded by mountains, walking in tall prairie grass, listening to the sounds of wildlife in a light-dappled forest, or pushing through a noisy throng of people in a skyscraper-filled city, or anywhere in between, God has revealed His love to us in so many ways and places, but it's still hard to put into words how unending, amazing, perfect that divine love is.  It's an under-oath, steadfast, enduring, unchanging, secure, heart-melting, fascinating, faithful love that pursues each and every person on this planet.   "For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die—but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."~Romans 5:6-8
John 15:13 says, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."  Jesus showed us the ultimate expression of His love, by laying down his life, voluntarily; dying that people like you and I might live.  Regardless of your situation in life, God loves you, more than you could ever know.  He took the first step to love, now take the second step to Him.  Love is a two-way street, requiring action.  Egit. The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.

When years of time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men, who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry.
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
The saints’ and angels’ song.
